Versatile structural adhesive with excellent adhesion properties
The Blinker structural adhesive offers a highly efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional mechanical fixings. Its use not only reduces material costs but also significantly simplifies the assembly process. This versatile adhesive ensures excellent adhesion across a wide range of materials, making it ideal for applications that demand strong and durable bonds.
It stands out for its exceptional performance, especially in environments that require flexibility, resistance, and rapid handling. It offers strong adhesion particularly on metals, plastics, and composite materials, and enables easy manipulation with a working time of just a few minutes.
You can find this product in the Chemicals section, under Adhesives and Glues.
FEATURES of the Blinker structural adhesive:
• High-performance, next-generation structural adhesive.
• Excellent adhesion on a wide range of materials, especially:
• Metals: iron, aluminium, stainless steel.
• Plastics: ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, acrylics, PMMA, etc.
• Composites: fiberglass, carbon fiber, polyester, gel-coat, phenolics, epoxy, etc.
• Good adhesion also on wood, ceramic, magnets, glass, etc.
• Outstanding resistance to impact and vibrations.
• No primer required.
• High gap-filling capacity.
• Combines extreme strength with flexibility to avoid brittleness.
• Excellent chemical resistance to oils, greases, antifreeze, fuels, and salt water.
• Aesthetic finish, dampening effect, and faster assembly.
APPLICATIONS of the structural adhesive:
Thanks to its versatility, MMA adhesive has endless applications in industries such as automotive, marine, wind energy, industrial vehicles and transport, and construction.
It can be used as an alternative to:
• Mechanical fixings (screws, rivets, etc.): Ensures better stress distribution, does not loosen or corrode over time, eliminates vibrations, and provides more flexibility.
• Welding: Bonds very different materials easily, doesn’t require expensive tools, and avoids rusting.
• Polyurethane or epoxy adhesives: Offers better gap-filling, superior resistance-flexibility ratio, lower sensitivity to environmental factors, safer handling, and better adhesion without primers.
Typical applications include:
Automotive and industrial vehicles: Bonding of panels, fixing spoilers, repairing plastic parts, reinforcing or fixing headlight mounts, internal panels, fiberglass components, tuning, bonding rails or tracks, reinforcement parts, repairing radiators, oil pans, etc.
Industry: Bonding window frames, sign assembly, attaching safety lights, repairing and assembling solar panels, wooden furniture, metal structures, signs, mounting brackets, filling and sealing holes or thread passages.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
-
Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean and free from dust or loose particles.
-
Use a dual-cartridge applicator gun (Ref. 0843332 or 4452007) to apply the adhesive evenly.
-
Allow to set for 30 to 45 minutes before handling.
-
Maximum bond strength is achieved after a full 24-hour cure.
-
If sanding is required, wait approximately 60 minutes after application for optimal hardness.
