SPECIFICATIONS:
Water-repellent product for concrete items with dry or semi-dry consistency. HIDROSEAL S is a surface treatment that is applied like a paint. Its low viscosity allows easy dispersion throughout the mass of dry concrete, to improve the surface finish, reduce the appearance of efflorescence and increase the impermeability and hydrophobicity of the piece.

HIDROSEAL S is an excellent product owing to the benefits it provides:
• Reduces the accumulation of dirt on the surface of concrete facilitating cleaning.
• Does not alter (even homogenizes) the surface finish nor alters the colour of white concrete.
• Retards the growth of algae and mosses on the surface of concrete.
• Reduces and even inhibits the occurrence of efflorescence.
• Improves the stability and uniformity of the colour when using pigments.
• Improves resistance to freeze-thaw cycles.
• Reduces absorption of water by the piece (improves impermeability).
• Improves the durability of the piece.
• Does not change the setting time or development mechanical resistance.
• Does not contain solvents.

APPLICATIONS:
HIDROSEAL S is suitable for the treatment of all types of prefabricated products made with dry consistency concrete, such as paving stones, blocks, pavement edges, slabs, etc. Can be used without problems in pieces with white cement or with the use of dyes, where it even improves colour uniformity in the piece. Product recommended for application on façades and, in general, on any element of hardened concrete.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
HIDROSEAL S is ready to use.
Should be used on young concrete surfaces (without superficial carbonation) that are free of surface water and remains of oils, releasing agent, dust and general dirt. HYDROSEAL S can also be applied to old concrete, after removal of the carbonated surface layer by mechanical methods. Always apply on dry surfaces.
Shake before using.
Apply HIDROSEAL S directly as a paint on the concrete surface to be treated, using a brush or roller or spray covering the entire surface adequately and avoiding accumulations of product in specific areas.
Two layers of product should be applied to obtain the optimum waterproofing effect; these layers should be applied continuously, without interruptions or pauses. The second layer of product should be applied just after the first layer has dried (dry to the touch).
The treated surfaces should be protected from rain and dust for 24 - 36 hours after application to allow the product to develop its optimal impermeable effect.
Paints and other coatings may not be applied to the surface treated with HIDROSEAL S without previous mechanical treatment of the surface. Do not apply the product at temperature lower than + 5 °C.
The usual coverage of HIDROSEAL S is 1 litre per 3.5 m2 of surface and per layer (2 litres of product per 3.5 m2 applied in 2 coats).
The indicated coverage may vary depending on the surface texture of the concrete, its roughness, porosity and method of application. Therefore, prior tests should be performed to evaluate and define optimum coverage/dosage in each case.
